AODD pumps also called air operated diaphragm pumps, are positive displacement pumps driven and powered by compressed air rather than an electric motor. The AODD pump design means that it can cope with pretty much any fluid from water to viscous slurries to 90% solids including large, shear sensitive particles without degrading them. Air operated double diaphragm pumps are able to benefit from variable flow or pressures just by adjusting the air power supply.
